With 25 years of professional experience and training, Jane Stout empowers students and their families by turning learning obstacles into academic accomplishments. Jane has a BA in English and a BS in Elementary Education, and a master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Applied Educational Psychology specializing in reading and reading disabilities.

In her role as a classroom teacher and then reading specialist, Jane worked with struggling readers, one-on-one and in small groups, and trained classroom teachers in the psychology of language, learning, and reading. After seeing the transformative effects of NILD educational therapy, Jane received the highest level of training and is a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist (P.C.E.T.) from the National Institute of Learning Development. In addition, NILD is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association.

As a Reading and Language Arts teacher at Eagle Hill School, a nationally recognized school for students with language-based learning disabilities, Jane brought into her daily instruction educational therapy techniques tailored to remediate the underlying deficit areas of the learning capabilities of her students. She now uses her many years of training and experience to help families with educational therapy, testing, and consulting.
